ABOUT JTLV
A space for young Jews in Tel Aviv to grow, connect, and feel at home.
JTLV started with a question. Where can young English-speaking Jews in Tel Aviv go to feel grounded? Where can they explore their Judaism without pressure? Where can they meet others who care about something deeper?
Rabbi Hill came to Tel Aviv with that question on his heart. He didn’t come to start an organization. He came to offer something real. A place where people could learn, share a meal, ask big questions, and just feel seen. Over time, a few Friday night dinners turned into regular classes. Those turned into packed holiday events. A small circle of friends became a growing, welcoming community.
Today, JTLV is a spiritual home for hundreds of young adults who are figuring things out. Some are religious. Some are just curious. Some are reconnecting after years away. What brings them together is the desire to grow with others who care. There is no membership. There is no mold to fit. Just people, showing up.
Rabbi Hill teaches with honesty and heart. He doesn’t perform. He speaks in a way that invites people in. And when you leave a class or event, you usually walk away thinking a little more clearly and feeling a little less alone.
JTLV continues to grow. But at its core, it’s still about what it was at the beginning. A warm room. A thoughtful teacher. A group of people who want to live with more meaning.
